Design Notes
This 48 hour prototype explores how visual form can communicate gameplay mechanics without explicit instruction. Each boss is designed around a geometric shape, where its structure directly determines its attack patterns.
The core idea is that players learn to read danger through silhouette. For example, square enemies reinforce orthogonal attacks, while triangular enemies introduce multi-directional and radial patterns. This creates a system where understanding emerges through recognition rather than explanation.
A major focus of development was maintaining clarity in a high-intensity bullet hell environment. Iteration on color-coded telegraphs, attack timing, and encounter pacing helped ensure that difficulty feels readable rather than overwhelming. The result is a system where mechanics, visuals, and player learning are tightly aligned.

This was pretty fun. A third very evil geometrical shape would've been great. Were you looking for specific feedback on this? The concept you are exploring is really interesting.
